Position: Drill Operator
Location: Brea, CA – Full-Time, Onsite
Position Description
We are seeking a CNC Drill/Router Operator to join our [Fullerton/Brea] facility. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC drilling and routing equipment to support the production of high-reliability printed circuit boards. The operator ensures accuracy, quality, and compliance with customer specifications and safety standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC drilling and routing machines
- Download and run CNC programs as specified in traveler instructions
- Perform drilling operations, including double-sided, multilayer, counterbore, countersink, and controlled-depth drilling
- Operate optimization and x-ray equipment to verify panel alignment and registration
- Inspect new and re-sharpened drill bits for quality and readiness
- Conduct in-process inspections to confirm counts, measurements, and product quality
- Enter production data accurately into the manufacturing control system
- Complete required departmental documentation and reports
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment following all PPE and chemical handling requirements
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support product flow, quality improvements, and process testing
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous CNC drilling, routing, or PCB manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret travelers, blueprints, and technical instructions
- Basic computer proficiency for logging and tracking production data
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and visual accuracy
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working safely in and around chemicals
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
Hourly Pay: $19 - $24 per hour
Compensation is based on relevant experience, education, certifications, and specialized skills.
